The Government of Mexico City, through the strategic involvement of the Institute of Science and Technology, and along with the Mexican Academy of Sciences, the Scientific and Technologic Consultative Forum, major research institutions, and distinguished entrepreneurs, invites you to participate at the Science and Innovation Week 2009 that will be held from September 21st to the 25th. This event will take place at the Palacio de Mineria, a neoclassic treasure built in the 18th century, a venue declared patrimony of humanity.
The objective of the Science and Innovation Week 2009 is to regroup the top scientists and technology experts from different parts of the world, specialized entrepreneurs, along with different entities within Mexico City Government to find the path that will help us to continue building a better city and create the hub for innovative industries in Latin America. “Building a Healthy City” “Building a Sustainable City” "Building a City with connectivity and technology” and "Building a City Educated in Science and Technology” are the names of the sessions and topics that will be discussed during the Science and Innovation Week 2009. During this week, we will review experiences from other parts of the world, examine the problems faced by megalopolis, and suggest the strategies that should follow as our plan of action in México City. The Science and Innovation Week 2009 will host distinguished personalities from academia and industry, including Nobel Laureates and world known entrepreneurs.
